Fahad Education Center Expansion Project – A Transformational Success
The Fahad Education Center Expansion Project was a bold initiative by the Fahad Education Foundation aimed at transforming education and community development in Nyakesi, Tororo District. Today, we celebrate the successful completion of this project, which has significantly improved education, healthcare, and infrastructure in the region. q
The Need for the project
High Vulnerability:
Over 50% of students are orphans or from low-income families.
Limited Access to Education:
Low literacy rates, high dropout rates, and limited facilities in the region.
Poverty:
Tororo District has a poverty rate of 34.6%, higher than the national average.
Infrastructure Gaps:
Lack of access to electricity, clean water, and adequate school facilities.

📚 Student Enrollment Growth
✔ Student Enrollment Growth – Increased from 100 students to 800 students, ensuring more children access quality education.
✔ Expanded Staff Team – Grew from 15 to 100 members, improving learning quality and care for students.
✔ Improved Infrastructure – Constructed new classrooms, dormitories, a library, and staff quarters, creating a better learning environment.
✔ Healthcare Services – Established a fully functional health center, providing essential medical care to students and the community.
✔ Safe Water & Sanitation – Installed clean water systems, sanitation facilities, and a water harvesting system, ensuring access to safe drinking water.
✔ Technology & Learning Resources – Introduced a Computer and ICT Center to enhance digital learning opportunities.
